The Passenger Services Team provides special assistance for people travelling with a mobility or disability related need. We are committed to ensuring that 100% of all pre-booked passengers requiring assistance will reach their aircraft on time.

Requesting Assistance

When booking your holiday through travel agents, websites or by telephone, it is important that you communicate any required assistance to the airport in order to ensure we can best help anyone with disabilities or reduced mobility to move with comfortable ease through each phase of the passenger journey.

Before Leaving Home

If you require special assistance while travelling through the airport, it is imperative you make the required preparations before leaving to start you holiday journey. This includes registering your mobility aids and devices with your airline prior to travel, ensuring you can use them for the entire duration of your airport journey.

Help Points

There are various help points for those requiring special assistance for disability or general movement aid through the airport. Provisions to ensure a smooth journey through potentially troublesome areas such as security include the ability to enter a designated security lane for families with pushchairs and passengers with wheelchairs.

In The Terminal

Passenger Assistance Lounges are available in the departure lounge areas of gates 2 and 14. A hearing loop ensures those with hearing aids can hear vital flight information on the correct frequency, while a telephone helphand is also readily available.

Transport

Blue badge holders arriving at the airport can make use of our designated disabled parking spaces. If travelling by public transport including bus, there are Easy Access Skylink and Airlink services to and from the airport which help towards a swift and comfortable airport travel experience.
