MAG scores a hattrick!
Bournemouth, East Midlands and Manchester Airports (Part of the Manchester Airports Group) are celebrating after being the only three airports to be nominated in the category of UK Airport of the Year at the British Travel Awards.
Based on a strict criteria judging process which looked specifically at our sustainability efforts, customer satisfaction and innovative technology, the airports managed to combat competition from Gatwick, Heathrow, Stansted, Leeds Bradford, Belfast City, Birmingham International, London Luton, Glasgow.
The British Travel Awards is the largest awards programme in the UK, created to recognise and reward the best companies in the travel industry. Voted for by both consumers and travel professionals, the awards span numerous categories ranging from airports, airlines, travel retailers and tour operators. The winners will be announced at a prestigious Awards Gala to be held on Thursday 5th November 2009.
It’s a huge achievement for the Group to have reached the final shortlisting stage of such a prestigious awards program. To be the only three airports listed in the category of UK Airport of the Year highlights the hard work, dedication and successes of each airport and we very much look forward to celebrating the outcome in November!
