Air Charter Service takes the top prize in the EMA Cargo Go-Karting Day 2010
Thursday 1st July saw East Midlands Airport host its annual EMA Cargo Go-Karting Day. This increasingly popular event gave key personnel in the air cargo industry the opportunity to network and meet with peers from the industry.

The event was very successful and all attendees enjoyed a day full of close wheel to wheel racing, with a well deserved barbecue at the end of a hot summer's day. The racing extravaganza included a qualifying session, followed by two heat races, which then determined the grid positions for the final races. Dan Morgan-Evans of Air Charter Service (ACS) was crowned the winner, after an exceptional performance through out the day, followed by Paul Bingley of Ruslan International in second place and Peter Bardens in third.

This year has also seen the introduction of the EMA Cargo Cup, which will, from here on in, reflect the history of the event as new names and companies are added to the trophy over the next decade. The established event is growing in popularity with many new faces joining each year.

John Froggatt, EMA Director of Planning & Development commented "The EMA Cargo Go-Karting Day is our chance to get everyone together for the day to say a big thank you to our customers, who make EMA the UK's number 1 pure cargo airport. The event has always proved to be a great day both for racing and networking and we are already looking forward to next year's competition. "
