I’ve pre-booked my car parking, what should I do when I get to the airport?

On arrival at the car park

  • Drive up to the machine at the entrance barrier for your chosen car park and a ticket will be automatically issued. Keep this ticket safe as you will need it upon your return.
  • If a ticket is not automatically dispensed, press the “Assistance” button and confirm your booking details. A ticket will then be issued by the operator. Keep this ticket safe as it will be needed on your return.

On exiting the car park

  • Please ensure you have your entry ticket to hand.
  • Proceed straight to the exit barrier, insert your ticket and the barrier should raise automatically.
  • Please do not insert your credit or debit card into the barrier or a further payment will be taken.

 

Can I park for less than the minimum stay?

Yes. Although there is no restriction on length of stay, a minimum 2 day charge will apply to all bookings.

How are parking charges calculated on this website?

Parking is charged per day or part thereof. All prices shown are in GBP and include VAT at 20%.

How do I amend my car park booking?

You may amend your booking up to 6 hours* before your car parking commences, online or by calling 0871 310 3300**.

Please note if you booked during a sale or at a lower price and that rate is no longer available, the current rate will apply.

*Where specified in the product details some bookings cannot be amended or cancelled or require 24 hours notice.

How do I cancel my car park booking?

You may cancel your booking up to 6 hours* before your car parking commences, online or by calling 0871 310 3300**.

You will receive a full refund provided your cancellation is received at least 6 hours* before your car parking commences.

How do I know my payment details are secure?

To protect your privacy and security, our website uses SSL encryption software, which is the industry standard. It encrypts your personal information so that it cannot be read.

You will know you are in the secure area of our site when the website address is preceded by “https://” and a padlock symbol appears in the frame of your browser.

I have a blue badge, where should I park?

You can pre-book via our call centre on 0871 310 3300* or on-line at eastmidlandsairport.com.

Booking via Call Centre
If you pre-book via our call centre, please have your Blue Badge ready as you will need to provide the serial number for validation. Bookings will allow customers to park in dedicated Blue Badge spaces in the Short Stay car park adjacent to the terminal building but at prices equivalent to our lowest priced pre-bookable car park.. The booking confirmation will direct you to the Short Stay Car Park & will advise the entry & exit procedures. Customers who book via the call centre no longer need to visit the Car Park Enquiries Office for ticket validation on return.

Please leave your Blue Badge on display in your vehicle while you are away, or alternatively a photocopy should you need to take your badge away with you.

In the event that a Blue Badge bay is not available you may use any bay within the Short Stay Car Park.

Booking On-line
If you pre-book on-line, please choose either JetParks or Jet Parks Plus. This will be the lowest priced available for pre-booking official on site parking for the time of your visit. Although your booking confirmation will refer to the name of the car park you have pre-booked, please use the Short Stay car park adjacent to the terminal building. On arrival at the car park barrier take a ticket and then park in one of the designated Blue Badge spaces.

Please leave your Blue Badge on display in your vehicle while you are away, or alternatively a photocopy should you need to take your badge with you. On your return please present your car park ticket to the Car Park Enquiries Office opposite the Arrivals Hall, along with your booking reference number and Blue Badge. Staff will then validate your ticket for exit.

In the event that a Blue Badge bay is not available you may use any bay within the Short Stay Car Park.

Not Pre Booked?
If you haven’t pre-booked, please park in one of the Blue Badge spaces in the Short Stay Car Park and on your return please present your car park ticket and Blue Badge at the Car Park Enquiries Office opposite the Arrivals Hall. You will be charged the cheapest rate for turn up parking for the number of days parked, based on our lowest priced on site car park.

Just Visiting?
Blue Badge holders are entitled to use the Short Stay Car Park for up to 30 minutes FREE. The ticket obtained on entry, together with the Blue Badge must be presented at the Car Park Enquiries Office located opposite the Arrivals Hall in order for the ticket to be validated for the free exit. Any time spent in the Short Stay Car Park after the first 30 minutes is chargeable as per the tariffs displayed on entry. The free period does not apply to the Rapid Drop Off zone.

Should Blue Badge holders wish to use the up to 60 minutes FREE parking within Shuttle Plus, the shuttle buses are all DDA compliant.

What happens after I have made my car park booking?

You will receive an on-screen confirmation, detailing your booking reference and instructions. Please print this page for your records as you’ll need this information at the airport.

We will also send you a confirmation email. Please ensure your vehicle registration details are correct as this is used to give you access to the car park. There is an option to amend your booking if you will be arriving at the airport in a different vehicle than originally planned. Failure to receive this confirmation email has no bearing on the status of your booking.

What payment methods are accepted for car parking?

Pre-booking via the website or call centre

We accept Visa, Mastercard, Delta, Maestro, American Express, JCB, Electron and Solo for pre-booking. We are unable to accept any other form of payment via this website or the call centre. Please note if you choose to pay by credit card or prepaid card, you will be charged a £1.50 card fee. We do not charge a fee for debit cards.

Payment at the car park

We accept all major credit and debit cards as well as cash at the car park pay machines. Receipts are available on request. Please note if you choose to pay by credit card, you will be charged a £1.50 credit card fee. We do not charge a fee for debit cards.
