Get Set For Goa (and more) This Winter!

The Indian Ocean destination of Goa is the latest addition to the growing list of exciting long haul holidays available this winter from East Midlands Airport.

First Choice Holidays will fly to Goa, Dabolim Airport (GOI) with a weekly service starting 7th February 2008 and will offer 14 night breaks from your local airport.

Winter sun seekers will also be able to take advantage of over 60 destinations from EMA including Banjul, Cancun, Agadir in Morocco and Goa, offering uncrowded, golden beaches, friendly locals and exotic culture making it even more appealing to get away from the cold winter weather.

EMA is also proud to welcome a brand new low fares airline to the airport this winter. This year sees the launch of 3 new routes with Sterling Airlines starting from 28th October 2007. The Scandinavian destinations of Copenhagen (Denmark), Oslo (Norway) and Stockholm (Sweden) are all now in easy reach of the Castle Donington base.

For those customers looking for winter ski and snow boarding destinations, brand new this year is Innsbruck. The Airport is offering a weekly Saturday service with Thomson Ski starting on 22nd December 2007.

Ryanair, Europe’s largest low fares airline has also increased its portfolio, adding Budapest and Riga; increasing their winter programme to 31 routes from EMA including Belfast City, Tenerife, Poznan, Alicante, Grenoble and Salzburg.

Penny Coates, Managing Director, East Midlands Airport said
"Winter 2007 destinations are bigger and better than ever before. Destinations such as The Gambia, Cancun and Morocco proved to be a real hit last year and we hope our passengers take advantage of the range on offer. The new routes for winter 2007 are great news for the Airport as we continue to offer our customers a growing portfolio of destinations for them to choose for their winter break.”
