Works are due for completion in late 2010.

Works involve night-time lane 1 and occasional night time lane 2 closures (North and Southbound) with 50mph speed limit in place, for installation of VMS, MIDAS & CCTV works, with occasional total closures for installation of detector loops in lanes 1 and 2.
Works also involves day and night-time temporary closures of existing lay-bys.
Junction 11 to Junction 13.
Commencing 07 February 2010 20:00 to 08 December 2010 06:00
Works involve night-time closure of lane 1 north and southbound.

Between junctions with M1 at 24 and 24A.
Commencing 16-Feb-2010 22:00 to 18-Feb-2010 05:00
Works involve lane closures east and westbound for communication works.
Junctions 3 (Chellaston) and 4 (Toyota).
Commenced January 2010 21:00 to 30 April 2010 05:00
Works involve slip road closure east and west bound for junction modifications.
East Midlands Airport recommends arriving at the terminal at least 2 hours before departure, even if you are using online check in.
