M1 Motorway Bridge Repair Works
Essential repairs are currently being carried out to the Diseworth and Long Whatton Bridge on the M1 carriageway north of Junction 23. These works will continue until 5 February and will be carried out 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Work will be suspended over the Christmas period between 20 December and 4 January 2010. Due to the nature and location of the work, Traffic Management arrangements including contra flow will be in operation between Junctions 23 and 24 and a speed restriction of 50mph will be enforced.
As a result, abnormal traffic flow may be experienced on the M1 and adjacents routes surrounding the airport. Please allow extra time for your journey.
