We are excited to announce that all either food and beverage outlets are now open as part of the redevelopment and all are proving to be a great success.
The most recent additions to the terminal are Leon and Grab and Fly, they are the final two food and beverage outlets to open as part of the redevelopment.
Leon is a new fast-food concept and opened its doors in May 2014 to become a key food and beverage offer for our customers, it is located in the Check-in Hall, before Security. Leon offers a healthier alternative to mainstream fast-food offers, using seasonal ingredients and sustainably sourced produce.
Grab and Fly can be found by Gates 1-5 in the Departure Lounge and served its first customers in April 2014. Grab and Fly is a new to-go concept offering snacks and refreshments, the last stop before you board your flight.
First Floor Food Court
The new and improved first floor food court, located above the Departure Lounge, opened to passengers in February 2014, boasting scenic views overlooking the airfield.
Castle Rock Taproom and Kitchen is a unique airport bar concept with Nottingham-based Castle Rock Brewery offering a wide selection of locally produced drinks and food. The first floor also benefits from the opening of the new Burger King and Flat White Coffee Club.
The purpose-built soft-play area is perfect for keeping younger children happily entertained while family and friends enjoy the delights of the food court.
Flat White has recently opened in two new locations, on the first floor in the Departure Lounge and a further outlet in the Arrivals Hall, offering a range of hot drinks and snacks to suit everyone's taste.
More exciting food and drink outlets!
- Family favourite, Frankie and Benny’s can be found in the Departure Lounge and is adorned with famous memorabilia and Frankie’s merchandise. The American-style diner lets you travel back to the 1950’s, while treating yourself to a selection of delicious food and drinks.
- Pork and Pickle Delicatessen offers speciality local fine food while awaiting departure.
As part of the redevelopment a £1.5 million investment has been made to improve the security check-in procedure to the airport, with the aim to minimise queuing times during the security process. The project includes state-of-the-art security equipment, an improved passenger preparation area and the addition of a dedicated queuing area.
We are excited to announce the improved Security area is now complete. All new security lanes are now open and operational, including the family friendly and express lanes to allow passengers to be processed quickly and efficiently.
Upon completion of the redevelopment the new Security entrance and queuing area will be filled with natural light and views out to the newly landscaped area to the front of the terminal building.
