Train - Bus Connections
With a choice of stations, it’s never been easier to travel by train to any destination in the UK from East Midlands Airport, all served by East Midlands Trains.

Train and bus ‘Add-on’ ticket
If you’re travelling via Derby, Long Eaton or Nottingham railway stations, you can connect onto airport buses by buying a combined train and bus ‘add-on’ ticket from the railway station where your journey begins or online when purchasing your train ticket.

Derby train station
Connect at Derby for journeys to and from Sheffield, Chesterfield, Birmingham and other destinations to the north and west of the UK. The Skylink bus connects this station with the airport every 30 minutes, seven days a week, with a journey time of around 36 minutes.
Please be advised that from Monday 30th April until late November 2012 the current bus stops outside the main Derby Train Station terminal buildings will not be in use on journeys towards East Midlands Airport. A temporary stop will be located further along Midland Road by the War Memorial.
Nottingham train station
Connect at Nottingham for journeys to and from Lincoln and destinations to the east of the UK. The Skylink buses connect this station with the airport every 30 minutes, seven days a week, with a journey time of around 55 minutes. Buses depart from Broadmarsh Bus Station, just 5 minutes walk from Nottingham Train Station.
Long Eaton train station
Connect at Long Eaton for journeys to and from London and destinations to the south of the UK. The Skylink bus connects this station with the airport every 30 minutes, seven days a week, with a journey time of 30 minutes.
East Midlands Parkway train station
Connect at East Midlands Parkway for journeys to and from destinations outside the East Midlands region. This station is not served by bus
If you are travelling on your own, the most cost effective way to travel between the airport and East Midlands Parkway is to pre-book the shared taxi service operated by Arrow Cars. This service costs £6 per person each way and must be booked online at least 12 hours in advance of the taxi being required. You will receive an e-mail to confirm your booking. Please note that the reduced fare pre-booked service is a shared taxi scheme and therefore there may be a wait of up to 15 minutes for other passengers who have booked in the same time slot.

The taxi will pick you up outside East Midlands Parkway station from the dedicated taxi rank. If you have booked a return journey from East Midlands Airport, please follow the signs for Arrow Cars.
If you are traveling in groups of two or more you should pre-book a local private hire service. Arrow Cars can be contacted on 01332 814000 for a quote.
The journey between the station and airport takes 10-15 minutes depending on traffic.
