The commercial portfolio at East Midlands extends to over 218 acres and is managed our in-house Property Department.

East Midlands Airport is home to a mix of aviation businesses, from passenger airlines to cargo integrators. In addition, our site boasts a high quality business park with tenants including Price Waterhouse Coopers and e.on in a prime location at the intersection of the M1, M42 and A50.

Since its opening, East Midlands Airport has encouraged the development of a thriving and balanced air cargo community – and now the airport is home to major cargo operators including DHL, Royal Mail, UPS and TNT.

Terminal Accommodation
Our terminal building is the hub of our passenger business. Our Property team manages the check in desks, ticket desks and office accommodation. Current tenants include bmibaby, Easyjet, Ryanair, First Choice, My Travel, Thomas Cook and Thomson.

Office Accommodation
Our property team manages a total of 3,577 sq.m. (38,500 sq.ft.) of office accommodation on site, with a range of multi-let office accommodation in our Maintenance and Cargo East areas. With units ranging from 166 sq.ft. to 4,000 sq.ft. the airport can accommodate small to large businesses, subject to availability. Current tenants on site include freight forwarding companies to aviation recruiters.

Airside Ramp Accommodation
The Property team at East Midlands Airport also manages functional ramp accommodation, providing a total of 815sqm (8,771sqft) of airside accommodation in units ranging from 35sqm (380sqft) to 250sqm (2,691sqft).

Cargo Accommodation
The EMA property team manage a 17,094sqm (184,000sqft) cargo portfolio, in addition to the 66,424sqm let on ground lease arrangements. The EMA units are diverse ranging from 76.6sqm (728sqft) freight handling units to 6,310sqm (67,918sqft) transit sheds.

Hangar Accommodation
East Midlands Airport hangar portfolio is diverse, including light and wide bodied aircraft facilities. The site is a base for bmi regional engineering, FR Aviation and a flying school.

The EMA Property team manages 18,778sqm (202,126sqft) of hangar accommodation in units ranging from 145sqm (1,565sqft) to 9,327sqm (100,400sqft).
