13 miles northwest of East Midlands Airport, Derby is practically a stone’s throw from the travel hub. With the two being so close to one and other, getting between them by car, bus or train is a breeze.

Thanks to our regular Skylink bus between East Midlands Airport and Long Eaton Station, making the journey to and from Derby by rail is easy. There are regular services running between Derby Midland Station and Long Eaton daily, taking around 11 minutes.

With no coach services running between Derby and East Midlands, there is the option to use local bus services that can take around an hour to make the journey and often require a transfer onto the Skylink service.

Driving to and from Derby and East Midlands Airport is the easiest way to get between the two. The route via the A50 takes around 20 minutes and with the option to hire a car from the airport it doesn’t even matter if you don’t have your own vehicle.
