Where to park if you’re picking up or dropping off
Pick Up and Drop Off at East Midlands Airport
East Midlands Airport offers several convenient options. Pick up or drop off passengers within our Short Stay car park for easy access, or opt for the free Long Stay car park as an alternative.
For the quickest option, the Rapid Drop-Off area is conveniently located right in front of the terminal building. This area uses a barrierless system, making your journey quicker and more convenient. Simply drive through the area without having to stop for a barrier, and pay by midnight the day after you visit. You can pay online, or even set up an autopay account before your visit.

Short Stay
Short Stay 1 car park
Pick up or drop off
Follow signs for 'Short Stay Car Park'.
You can pick up or drop off in the Short Stay 1 car park. This is ideal if you want to accompany passengers or head into the terminal to meet someone.

Blue Badge parking is available at Short Stay 1 car park (Free for first 30 minutes), where blue badge parking bays are clearly identifiable. Short Stay 1 can only be accessed by walking to/from the terminal, but should you require a wheelchair or further assistance, help points are located in all car parks.
Set up an auto-pay account
You can set up an account and add a payment card, which will automatically take payment after each journey through our barrierless drop off area. To do this, please visit: pay.eastmidlandsairport.com.
Please note it is your responsibility to ensure there is a valid payment method on your account before using a drop-off or pick-up area.
Looking to stay for over an hour?
If you want to head into the terminal, or need that bit of extra time, we recommend pre-booking your cark park spot to drop off or pick up. Then you can focus on those all important welcomes or goodbyes on the day.

Assisted Travel
Passengers who hold a valid blue badge will be able to access Short Stay 1 for up to 30 minutes and Long Stay 2 for up to 60 minutes free of charge, for both pick-up and drop-off. More accessibility information can be found on our Accessible Transport page.
