The Aerozone is East Midlands Airport’s on-site education centre. There is a huge range of exciting opportunities for school and community groups of varying sizes and ages. The Aerozone offers a meeting room and a fully equipped, interactive education facility. We have something for everyone from primary schools through to colleges and community groups.
The Aerozone can be used for a diverse range of activities and can be adapted to suit your teaching needs. What’s more, it is completely free of charge. From primary schools through to college classes, there are opportunities for groups to immerse themselves in the airport experience and find out what happens behind the scenes. Find out about our Aerozone Resources here and for FAQs click here.
Included in the Aerozone is ‘East Minilands’, a fun and interactive role-play space that incorporates the key areas of the passenger journey. The space can be used by all ages for role play, or for Travel and Tourism assessment. The space includes a check-in desk, security area, café, shop and plane, complete with ten aircraft seats.
Visits for all educational groups are free of charge. However, transport to and from the airport is not included and must be organised by the school. To enhance your visit to the Aerozone, sessions can also be organised at the Aeropark for a small charge. For more information please see our Aerozone leaflet.
