Boardmasters

August

The seaside town of Newquay plays host to a spectacular 5-day surf and music festival. Boardmasters is a unique British festival and welcomes over 150,00 festival goers to listen to some of the world’s most popular artists and take part in surf competitions.

Falmouth Sailing Week

August

This is a huge sailing regatta, with over 450 yachts racing over seven days, plus lots of other entertainments on shore. The competition welcomes all levels of sailor experience, from beginner to expert. The prestigious Champagne Race includes a long coastal race of offshore yachts, with the prize for the winners being bottles of champagne, a tradition that dates back to 1955.

Newquay Lifeboat Day

July

Newquay hosts the biggest fundraising event for the RNLI and hosts a free event to help raise money for the lifeboat service. Head down tot the Harbour and witness dramatic rescue demonstrations, listen to live music, and enjoy the food stalls all in the aid of raising money for a charity dedicated to saving lives at sea.
